Do you love peanut butter as much as we do? Most people would probably immediately pair chocolate with marshmallows, and of course that’s a fine duo. But we took it a step further and made these marshmallow treats even more irresistible with the addition of peanut butter – and, wait for it – Butterfinger bits!

These Butterfinger Marshmallow Treats are something special. They can be made elegant by slicing them into sharp triangles. You can even cover them with a bit of chocolate frosting and more Butterfinger bits for an over-the-top dessert.

Since they’re a no-bake treat, you can make them all summer long without ever turning on the oven. Who doesn’t love that?

You’ll simply combine our mini white marshmallows, butter, and peanut butter in a saucepan until they’re nice and melty. Remove from the heat and pour in your favorite rice cereal and Butterfinger bits.

Stir, stir, stir to evenly mix those bits and cereal with the melted marshmallow and peanut butter. Immediately press them into a deep baking pan and allow them to set up for several hours. Then they’ll be ready to slice and serve, or cover in frosting!

Butterfinger Marshmallow Treats

prep times: 10 minutes
total time: 20 minutes
makes: 12 servings

Ingredients:

4 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 10.5-ounce packages Campfire® Mini-Marshmallows
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
6 cups crisp rice cereal
1/2 cup Butterfinger Baking Bits

Directions:

Line an 8 x 8-inch baking pan with parchment paper or foil and spray with nonstick cooking spray.

In large pan, melt butter over low heat. Set aside 1/2 cup marshmallows. Add the rest of the marshmallows to the pan and stir until completely melted. Add in the peanut butter and stir until melted and incorporated. Remove the pan from the heat.

Gradually add crisped rice cereal, stirring until well coated. Fold in the reserved 1/2 cup of marshmallows and Butterfinger Baking Bits until thoroughly incorporated.

Using a buttered spatula or clean hands to firmly press the mixture into the prepared pan. Cool completely before serving.
