Pilgrim Hats
Pilgrim Hats are a fun and easy addition to any Thanksgiving feast!
At Thanksgiving (and every other major holiday) my side of the family has the big meal of the day at noon or 1. We eat until we all claim to be full and unable to handle anything more, then my mom starts getting out the desserts! Cake, brownies, and cheesecake usually.
We are DESSERT EATERS, so you bet every single person at our table for a holiday is going back up for their meal’s sweet finale!
Once we have all had our fill, we clean up the table and play a few hours of board games.
Just before my grandparents leave to make the hour and half drive home from Mom and Dad’s house, all the food returns to the counter for a quick “snack”. Cheese and crackers are typically out, along with buns to make a turkey sandwich, pop and a vegetable tray. The desserts also get put back out.
This year, I decided to add something a little new to the snack counter, these cute Pilgrim Hats! They went together in just a half hour, needed only 4 ingredients and didn’t even require me to turn on my oven.
They also happen to be the perfect size for the second “dessert” of the day, in case you family has a sweet tooth like mine!
