For the dough:
1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
⅓ cup sugar
1 packet dry yeast
¾ cup whole milk
1 egg + 1 egg yolk
½ cup cubed soft butter
For the ganache:
¾ cup dark chocolate chips
4 tbsp heavy cream
1 bag of Campfire Mini Marshmallows
To make the ganache: Mix together dark chocolate chips and heavy cream, and heat in the microwave for 20 seconds. Whisk together for a couple minutes until smooth and shiny.
To make the dough: Combine all the ingredients together to form the dough and knead until it passes the “windowpane” test (stretch dough out thin enough until light can pass through it).
Next, allow the dough to rest for 2 hours in a bowl in a dark room (until it has doubled in size).
Divide the dough into 9 rolls and shape them however you want. I rolled them into balls but you can also make them a bit flatter.
Once shaped, allow to proof for another 2 hours.
Brush with egg wash.
Pipe some chocolate ganache on top or in the center.
Bake at 350°F for 20 minutes until golden brown.
Before serving, top each one with a handful of Campfire Mini Marshmallows and torch with a crème brûlée torch or place back into the oven for 1 minute on low broil.
This is the definition of a perfect dessert!
